Participant Testimonials:

Jim Warner, Business Transformation Consultant, Denver, USA

“Earlier this year I attended the CTT Practitioner course with Joanna. I chose to attend for two reasons:

  1. Culture is something that is taken very seriously in my organization and I felt the need to equip myself with more tools in this area.
  2. As an HR professional, I think we become natural custodians of a company’s culture and hence need to understand the subject in depth. It will definitely add value to the conversations we have with our key business stakeholders.

I can confidently say that I’ve yet to come across a framework and set of tools that help you work with this space in a more comprehensive yet simple manner. The simplicity makes it easy to explain to your clients without it sounding like jargon.

Joanna’s depth of knowledge in this subject and the richness of examples, where she has applied the tools, made it immensely valuable for a practitioner like me. She has an easy-going style that creates a class environment very conducive to sharing and learning. Everyone in the group felt comfortable talking openly about their challenges and exploring layers of meaning in the reports. A very necessary aspect when you’re talking about something as personal and significant as values

I strongly recommend this course for anyone who is serious about exploring values, in personal and professional spaces.”

Veda Srinivasan, Director, Talent & Culture COE, Dell

“I went to Joanna for guidance in entering the leadership team of a workplace that was new to me and seemed not to be achieving its full potential.  She was able to pinpoint areas of the organization’s culture using the values assessment and my own unconscious tendencies, that shed light on new pathways for growth.

As a result of assessment and Joanna’s advice, we have brought our organizational leadership to a new level, empowering one another and making room for everyone’s strengths and creativity.  I feel like we have been led to the summit by an experienced and knowledgeable Sherpa!”

About Amy Powell

This CTT Practitioner program will be facilitated and delivered by Amy Powell, Director of Business on Purpose LLC, Co-founder of Conscious Capitalism Portland.  Amy also co-founded Conscious Capitalism Australia, the first Conscious Capitalism chapter formed.

Amy has been working with culture change in organizations for 30 years and has used the Barrett CTT Tools in corporate environments for the past decade. She has helped business leaders in Australia and the U.S. to develop culture change programs that strengthen and support the organization, its employees, and its stakeholders.  Her approach is to:

  • Measure current culture and leadership, and clearly identify the desired state (using the CTT tools)
  • Create a high-impact action plan
  • Use 1-on-1 and group coaching to deepen understanding and focus on new ways of leading
  • Embed the new culture using creative approaches that are internally driven
  • Re-measure, celebrate success, set the next goals and build a new action plan

Amy believes that culture change should never be a one-time intervention, but should continuously and intentionally evolve as the organization changes.

What you will get with the program

This training covers all the essential elements outlined in the course review.   It is conducted over four full days in a small-group workshop.

The training has also been built to as a starting point to support your shift from personal mastery to transformation facilitator.

Overview of the 4-day programme:

Day 1 focuses on why and what working with values and culture is all about. We work with our own personal consciousness and motivation, and the 7 Levels of Consciousness model. And we introduce the concept of whole system change.

Day 2 introduces the Individual Values Assessment (IVA) and how to read and use it for self-development and coaching. And we offer a practical experience for how get the most out of a Cultural Values Assessments (CVA), and how to go from report to action with a team.

Day 3 is about how to address the organisational culture perspective, like the use of demographics within organisations, merger & acquisition compatibility assessments, etc. And how to deal with values-based leadership development incorporating 7 Levels of Leadership Consciousness. You use your own Leadership Development Report (LDR) to practice leadership feedback. The day also includes the design of leadership workshops.

Day 4 is devoted to direction and action. It covers the creation of vision and mission statements (the direction) and, finally, we bring everything together into a comprehensive and practical plan for creating values/cultural transformation. The day also includes marketing practices.

Beyond these foundational components of the training, woven into the learning approach are experiences and learnings of the facilitator based on her application of the tools in varying organisational contexts and industries together with the opportunity to bring forth your own stories, experiences and organisational challenges as basis for us to learn together.

To support your practice and ongoing learning, you are offered two assessment (IVA and SGA or LDR). All course materials and PowerPoint files will also be shared with you.
